Ingredients
For Gingerbread Syrup

water

brown sugar

tablespoon
molassas

piece of ginger
peeled and sliced

cinnamon sticks

whole nutmeg

whole cloves

teaspoons
whole allspice
For Gingerbread Irish Mule

ounces
Whiskey
6
ounces
ginger beer
1/2
ounce
gingerbread syrup
Instructions
To make Gingerbread Syrup
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
When mixture is simmering, reduce heat and simmer on low for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn off heat and allow to steep for about an hour.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids, store in a sealed container in the fridge.
To make Gingerbread Irish Mule
Fill a copper mug with ice. Add whiskey, ginger beer and gingerbread syrup. Gently stir to mix, garnish with candied ginger if desired.
