Dark Chocolate Almonds with Sea Salt and Turbinado Sugar just like Trader Joe’s, but you can make them at home! ย Only four ingredients and a few minutes is all it takes to make these healthy and delicious treats.
Chocolate. ย It’s a thing that I need in my life. ย Like, can not live without. ย Have you ever met someone who tells you they don’t like chocolate? ย What the heck? ย When I meet those people I want to say “Maybe you’ve just never had good chocolate? ย Or any chocolate? ย How is this possible?” But you know, to each their own. ย I guess.
One chocolate treat that I’m totally addicted to are the Dark Chocolate Almonds with Sea Salt and Turbinado Sugar from Trader Joe’s. ย Have you ever had them? ย If you have, you know what I’m talking about. ย Those things are irresistible. ย Rich, dark chocolate covering crunchy almonds, and the sea salt makes them sweet and salty – the perfect combination!
I’ve been wanting to try making them at home forever, and I finally got around to it. ย I don’t know what took me so long! ย It is SO easy, and they only need ย FOUR ingredients! ย So take heart, even if you are like my poor mom, who lives a three hour drive from the nearest Trader Joe’s, you too can enjoy theseย Dark Chocolate Almonds with Sea Salt and Turbinado Sugar.
I call this a “healthy” treat – I mean, almonds, dark chocolate, those are all healthy, right? ย But I still weigh out my portion to make sure I don’t scarf down the whole batch – a serious danger with these guys. ย But if you decided to just forgo the portioning, I won’t judge.

I am a chocoholic and love all desserts. I have tried to lose weight and cut down on desserts. I have found that I can eat 5-6 of these chocolate covered almonds at lunch and dinner and satisfy my dessert/chocolate craving and lose weight!
I’m so happy to hear that, thanks Harry!
I want a big handful of these!!
so I would actually call myself a “doesn’t like chocolate” person – you’ll never find me just eating plain chocolate or craving chocolate. BUT I do love chocolate when paired with other things that I love. like almonds. and crunchy sugar. and i completely agree, this is absolutely a healthy snack. it may be the perfect late-afternoon-at-work-craving-sugar snack ๐
Thanks Leslie – it is such a great afternoon snack. Although I totally can (and do) eat plain chocolate too ๐
This should be illegal! I fear if I got started there is no way I would stop. I love that sweet salty combo and chocolate is my drug of choice!
Yes! You get it. Thanks Julie!
First of all, OMG, yes I need these in my life! I’ve been waiting since your tease on insta–I knew it would be something good. second, my mom is one of those people who doesn’t like chocolate. what? I don’t know how we’re even related.
