Healthy Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
If you are craving a pumpkin spice fix in cold creamy form, look no further than this healthy and easy pumpkin smoothie. This pumpkin smoothie has protein from greek yogurt and fiber from pumpkin and oats – so not only does it taste great, but it will fill you up too!
Ingredients
- Pumpkin Purée – You can’t make a pumpkin smoothie without pumpkin so of course we are starting with 100% pure pumpkin purée You can use canned pumpkin, just be sure it is 100% pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling.
- Banana – I use froze banana to sweeten and thicken this smoothie
- Greek yogurt – adds lots of protein.
- Pure maple syrup – adds a touch of sweetness. Feel free to use honey or agave if you prefer.
- Toasted Oats – this is the secret ingredient that really gives this smoothie the extra pie flavor.
- Milk – use your milk of choice here! I have used almond milk or dairy milk.
- Vanilla Extract – for that irreplaceable flavor.
- Pumpkin Pie Spice – I used my homemade pumpkin pie spice.
- Salt – just a pinch of salt really balances the flavors.

Tips for making the best smoothies
- Use frozen fruit – in this case frozen bananas and frozen pumpkin puree. This will make the smoothie colder, taste better, and have a thicker texture.
- Add liquid to the blender first – and feel free to add a few extra splashes if the smoothie is too thick.
- Start the blender on low and slowly increase the speed.

I can’t do almond milk due to nut allergy so I switched it out for vanilla soy so I didn’t need the vanilla either. I also just used part of a sachet of cinnamon spice Quaker instant oatmeal. It was delicious!
Yay! So glad you loved it Hilary!
How would you alter this to add vanilla protein powder? Just add it on top? Or would it need something else to balance it out?
Hi Andrea, I haven’t tried it but I think you can just add it in addition to the other ingredients. If it is too thick, just add a little more liquid until you get your desired consistency.
do you know where the nutritional info is?
Hi Amelia – I don’t have nutritional info, but the best way to get it is to use one of the free websites out there, such as my fitness pal. Hope that helps!
