Healthy Halloween Snack Board

If you are looking for something a little different to balance out all the Halloween candy out there this time of year, give these easy, healthy Halloween treats a try! These five cute and healthy snacks are easy to make, allergy friendly and absolutely adorable.

Clementine Pumpkin - a peeled clementine with a small piece of celery used as a stem.

1. Clementine Pumpkins

  • clementines
  • celery

how to make:

Peel the clementine. Slice a small piece of celery for the pumpkin “stem” and insert it in the top so the clementine resembles a pumpkin.

2. Witches’ Brooms

  • string cheese
  • pretzel sticks
  • chives

how to make:

Cut each string cheese in half. Cut the bottom half of the cheese to look like broom bristles. Push the pretzel stick into the top of the cheese “broom” for a broomstick. Tie a chive around the broom to finish the look.

3. Apple Monsters

  • green apples
  • peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • sunflower seeds
  • strawberries
  • candy eyes

how to make:

Core apple and cut apple into quarters. Cut a wedge out of the middle of the apple quarter on the peel side to make the mouth. Spread nut butter inside the mouth, then line the inside of the mouth with sunflower seeds for teeth. Slice strawberries and place in mouth for a tongue. Finish by attaching candy eyes above the mouth with a bit of nut butter.

4. Boo-Nanas

  • bananas
  • chocolate chips
  • mini chocolate chips

how to make:

Peel and cut each banana in half. Use two mini chocolate chips for eyes and a regular chocolate chip for a mouth. Bananas will turn brown after an hour or two so make right before serving.

5. Spider Crackers

  • Pretzel sticks
  • Crackers
  • peanut butter (or any nut butter)
  • candy eyes

how to make:

Spread nut butter on a cracker and top with another cracker and make a sandwich. Break pretzel sticks in half if they are long, then insert three pretzel sticks on each side for “legs”. Finish by attaching two candy eyes on top with a little nut butter

6. Spider Web Guacamole

how to make:

Fill a bowl with guacamole, use the back of a spoon to smooth and level out the top. Use a piping bag or squeeze bottle to pipe concentric circles on top of the guacamole with the sour cream. Use a toothpick or skewer to drag from the center to the outside of the bowl to create a spider web look.

Clementine pumpkins

  • 10 clementines

Apple Monsters

  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter. Use sunflower seed butter to make this allergy friendly
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3 strawberries
  • 16 candy eyes

Cracker Spiders

  • 20 crackers a buttery snack cracker works well here
  • 30 pretzel sticks broken in half if they are long.
  • 4 tablespoons peanut butter or other nut butter. Us sunflower seed butter to make this allergy friendly.
  • 20 candy eyes

Spider Web Guacamole

  • 2 cups Guacamole
  • 2 tablespoons Sour Cream
