Green Bean and Ground Beef Stir fry is an easy ground beef recipe perfect for busy weeknights. Serve over rice for a quick weeknight meal packed with flavor!
Easy Ground Beef Recipe
Most of us struggle with the question “What can I make for dinner tonight?” Well, if you have a pound of ground beef, I have the perfect recipe for you. Green Bean and Ground Beef Stir Fry. I usually don’t think of ground beef as being an ingredient for stir fries, but it actually makes a very quick and convenient protein to use in this easy stir fry recipe.
How to make a ground beef stir fry
For this recipe we make a quick sauce that is more flavorful than any store bought stir fry sauce – then pour it over the ground beef and let it marinate for about 20 minutes while you prepare the rest of the recipe. I usually like to make some rice to serve with this. Then trim and cut your green beans.
You will quickly saute the green beans so that they get browned and blistered – that gives them great flavor and texture. Then remove from the pan and add the ground beef. When the ground beef is cooked, add the green beans back to the pan and stir to combine. Allow to cook until most of the excess moisture cooks off – that will concentrate the flavors.

This was really good!!!! I used a bag of frozen green beans- didn’t have the chili sauce so left that out. Next time I’ll double the recipe!!!!
I forgot to mention that I used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce and it worked well.
This was soooo delicious. I would have never thought to marinate the beef! I made it without the corn starch, sriracha instead of garlic sauce, and homegrown green beans. Thank you for sharing!
So happy you loved it!
So good!
Delicious! This is now one of my go-to dinners, barely takes any time and so easy to make
SO happy to hear that!
Followed recipe exactly and I wouldn’t change anything. I think it is key to add cornstarch to the marinade because it helps to crisp up the beef. Served it over some Jasmine Rice. You can always utilize another type of vegetable if you don’t have green beans on hand.
So glad you loved it!
Great recipes!

I absolutely love this recipe! I’ve been making it for a few years now and it is one of my favorites! It’s forgiving too! I forgot to buy green beans once and substituted with broccoli… delicious! Oh no- I’m out of garlic chili sauce!! That’s ok, use Sriracha! Just make sure you use fresh garlic and ginger, it really makes the recipe!
I think I forgot to give 5 star rating with my earlier comment 🤭
Thanks for sharing this recipe! It was indeed easy and delicious!
Followed all the ingredients but omitted the cornstarch. Also didn’t marinate the beef anymore. I sauted ginger and garlic, stirred in the beef and all the marinade ingredients; when beef has browned and the excess moisture has evaporated, that’s when i put in the green beans..stir fried until cooked. Easy one pan dish! My family loved it!
